The American magazine IGN met the developers Aya Kyogoku and Hisashi Nogami and talked about it a bit Pbadage of animals: new horizons spoken. Both revealed the first details of the multiplayer mode in the Nintendo Treehouse (click here for our summary), but IGN has learned some additional details.
First of all, there is no split screen mode in the game if you play on the same TV. All four players will have to play on the same screen instead. In online mode, even eight players in total can explore an island together, as you already know in Nintendo Direct | E3 2019 can see. Conveniently, the game will support the Nintendo Switch online application so that players can chat with each other. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to pitch a tent on the island of a friend. However, it is possible to configure up to eight playable accounts on a Nintendo Switch console, which all residents will live on the same island. Apparently, it is not possible to open multiple islands on a console.
