EastEnders veteran June Brown will not give up her wine, Guinness, or cigarettes, even at the age of 93.

The actress who embodies Dot Cotton for decades said that she would die of something "soon enough", so it's pointless to leave her guilty pleasures.

Brown revealed that she would continue to indulge in dark chocolate, albeit allergic, to red wine and her favorite Irish beer.

A long-time smoker, the soap star said the electronic cigarettes were too heavy. She will continue her habit of smoking for seven decades.

She told Radio Times magazine, "I'm going to die of something soon enough, so why not entertain myself, (I like) red wine and dark chocolate, even though I'm allergic to it and I sneeze.

"And Guinness helps me keep a little weight.

"So, I do not need to pay attention to what I eat or drink."

"What's the point of counting how many cigarettes I smoke per day? I've been on them for over 70 years."

The star of EastEnders said that she avoided as much as possible modern technologies and the news, fearing for the direction of the company.

"She prefers to relax watching documentaries by Sir David Attenborough.

She said, "I'm watching News at Ten and Loose Women and it gives me everything I need to know."
