(Reuters) – An Ebola treatment center at the epicenter of the current epidemic in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo resumed operations after its attack last month, the Ministry of Health said Saturday. from the country.
The Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) center in Katwa district was burned on February 24 by unknown people, forcing staff to evacuate patients.
He reopened Saturday, the ministry said in a statement.

Humanitarian workers faced mistrust in some areas as they tried to contain the Ebola epidemic, which has become the worst in Congo's history. The WHO said mistrust was fueled by false rumors about treatments and a preference for traditional medicine.
Another MSF center in Butembo was also attacked in late February but reopened a week later.
MSF has been withdrawn from the area since the two attacks and has not specified when it could resume its medical activities.
The current outbreak of Ebola, reported for the first time last August, has reportedly already killed at least 561 people and infected more than 300 others.
