Ebony, the last Dancehall artist, has had a huge impact on the music industry in one year with his hit songs, including Sponsor and Maame Hwe. For many, she would have been the greatest female artist in Ghana if she was alive.
A year after his death, his father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, spoke with the Daily Graphic and said that he knew that his daughter would have been a bigger name if she had been alive yet.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng said that her daughter's death had not been easy for the family. "It's difficult, but what can we do, we still believe that the queen's inheritance will not die, but will live."
As his birthday, which falls on Saturday, February 16, is also approaching, his father revealed that the family would organize a "Jollof party" that day. "Ebony loved jollof, it was her favorite dish and she was very good at cooking. The family will be organizing a fun party for all those who wish to be part of my daughter's birthday, "he said.

From late 2016 to 2017, Ebony dominated the music charts while capturing the titles of her statements, her hot stage work and her revealing clothes. Opinions were divided about his image. while some praised his freedom of mind, others felt that it exerted a negative influence.
Her performances on stage were also impressive, so it was no surprise that she became the first Ghanaian singer to win the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2018 Artist of the Year award after her death.
Among the other awards she has posthumously won include the afro-pop song of the year with her sponsor, while her album – Bonyfied – received the album of the year. year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2018.
Like many other aspiring Ghanaian celebrities, including Suzzy Williams and Terry Bonchaka, Ebony left the scene too early, as the applause rang out.
She died in a car accident on February 8, 2018 on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway after visiting her mother, accompanied by two friends who accompanied her, Franky Kuri and Francis Atsu Vondee.
Many of her fans could not believe the news of her death until videos and photos of the car she was traveling to have been published on various social media platforms.
Ebony was buried on March 24, 2018 at Osu Cemetery.
