Documents circulating on social media claiming to be copies of parliamentary results published in the official publication of the 2020 elections have been called false by the Election Commission.
The Commission, in a statement released Thursday evening, urging the public to disregard documents shared on social media, said its parliamentary results published on the election results of December 7, 2020 are available and can be obtained from the Assembly press in Accra.
The statement said the document maliciously shared on social media and purported to be the results published in the Gazette is not genuine but is being shared to mislead the public and discredit the Commission and therefore should be ignored .
