The EC says a new date will be announced shortly
The Electoral Commission (EC) has indefinitely suspended the planned restricted voter registration exercise, which was scheduled to begin on Friday, 7 June.
An EC statement Monday said the ruling was the result of a pending injunction aimed at preventing the commission from continuing the registration exercise.
He indicated that a new date would be announced shortly.
"Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted," the statement added.
