Dr. Eric Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairman of the Internal Electoral Commission (EC), suggested that the headquarters of the Electoral Management Body would have been upset.
The ongoing restructuring will involve the transfer of personnel and the creation or realignment of departments and units.
Dr. Bossman provided this information in an interview with Citi News in response to a question about why he had become the spokesperson for the EC despite the existence of communication officers at the Commission.
"The commission has undertaken several review activities and I can even say with authority that as soon as possible; at most within three months, we should have a communication unit that works well. "
Mr. Bossman also noted that the restructuring extended beyond the communications department.
"Same [when] you go to the computer, supply, legal [departments] – There are several places we are looking at. Some of our results will be made public so that you have complete information, "he said.
Speaking about the status of the current communications officer of the Commission, Eric Dzakpasu, Mr Bossman said: "Dzakpasu is a deputy director, as I am speaking to you now. His deputy is still there. He is also an officer. All are workers on the ground. "
