Manchester United Executive Vice President Ed Woodward responded in a strange way to questions about the future permanent director of the club.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the big favorite thanks to his outstanding performance as interim manager. According to reports, he is about to be appointed to the post during this international break.

Consecutive defeats against Arsenal and Wolves have seen a small group of fans wonder if the Norwegian was the man of choice to lead the way.

Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino would have been the main target of the club before Solskjaer's outstanding leadership.

Woodward's reputation is certainly up for grabs at his next fixture given his failures against David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

According to the tweet above, Ed laughed well when asked if he had a permanent manager ready during the recent Molineux clash.

Previously, he had publicly stated that Manchester United would not provide updates throughout their process, but would only have information to announce when hiring a manager.

There is no doubt that Ole did everything in her power to win this job, but the two recent results may have left the board feeling that they could wait a little longer.
