Eden Hazard admits that he is not at the same level as his "good friend" Mohamed Salah.

The two men briefly played together in Chelsea, where Salah was struggling to qualify. But since returning to English football in Liverpool in 2017, the Egyptian has taken the Premier League by storm.

He won the Golden Boot last season with 32 goals, a record number in 38 Premier League matches, while he's one shot at top scorer Sergio Aguero in the current campaign.

Hazard, meanwhile, should leave Chelsea this summer, as the Blues are struggling to take the title challenge after winning the division led by Jose Mourinho in 2014/15 and Antonio Conte in 2016/17.

Hazard and Salah are friends of their time together as teammates

The Blues are currently sixth on the table and missed a chance to reconnect with the top four when they lost 2-0 to Everton on Sunday.

Prior to this match, the American channel NBC Sports aired an interview with Hazard in which he praised his favorite players, including Salah.

"I like (Luka) Modric," he said.

The Belgian admits that he is not at the Egyptian level

"He's more of a midfielder than me, but of course I like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Mo Salah is one of my good friends and he's doing something amazing.

"I'm trying to watch this player and this player and try to reach that level."
