Chelsea star Eden Hazard is expected to finalize his transfer to Real Madrid in the 'next few days' after Zinedine Zidane has approved the transfer.

The 28-year-old wanted to go to Bernabeu last summer after Belgium's third place at Euro 2018, but Maurizio Sarri convinced him to stay at Stamford Bridge one more season.

However, the winger has less than 15 months to sign his existing contract in West London and has hinted that he did not want to sign an extension, although Chelsea offered him about £ 300,000 a week.

Hazard did not hide his admiration for Zidane in the past and the return of the Frenchman in Madrid seems to have turned the spirit of the winger in favor of the giants of La Liga.

According to Marca, Chelsea and Madrid are about to agree on the terms of the departure of Hazard and an agreement should be finalized in the "next days".

Chelsea spent £ 100 million on Hazard last summer and it is likely that they have asked for similar fees this time, although Hazard's contract has only one year left.

When asked about Hazard Friday, Zidane declined to rule out a move.

"I will not give my personal opinion on what can happen because the season is not over, but I have always appreciated it," Zidane said.

"I've seen a lot since I play in France, he's fantastic.

The Blues appealed for a two-window ban, but Christian Pulisic was signed in January and should serve as a replacement for Hazard.

The departure of the Belgian could convince Callum Hudson-Odoi to stay at the club, since his playing time will probably increase.
