Chelsea will face Tottenham again this week.
Eden Hazard, the Chelsea striker, said that he had enjoyed the recent game against Tottenham despite losing.
The Spurs beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final 1-0 at Wembley and the return will be held at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
Hazard told the Sun that he was pleased with his individual performance and that it was what mattered most to him.
Hazard said, "At one point, everyone lost. Against Tottenham, we had the right to be disappointed, but honestly, I had a good time.
"I was not happy because we lost, but deep inside I'm happy to know how I played and how we played.
"I'd rather play like the game we had against Tottenham where I liked it."
Hazard's comments seem a little egocentric, poorly synchronized and peculiar, to say the least refreshing and honest.
Chelsea is in a difficult race with the brilliance of new director Maurizio Sarri after a mediocre start to the year in 2019.
The Belgian played very well against Tottenham in the 1-0 defeat, but he was unable to find a way to overtake a hard-nosed Spurs who had taken advantage by a penalty kick from Harry Kane.
Hazard is expected to back up his remarks and his performances with a solid performance in the second leg to help Chelsea reach the final.
