On Monday, January 25, 2021, Kwadaso Member of Parliament, the Hon. Dr Kingsley Nyarko paid a working visit to some institutions in Kwadaso Municipality.

The motive was to officially introduce oneself to the population and discuss issues of concern within the municipality.

The Honorable Member first visited the municipal education directorate. There, he had an in-depth discussion with the city director of education and management staff.

The problems and challenges facing the education leadership were discussed.

Hon. Dr Kingsley Nyarko said: “I came here today to see how we can collectively meet the challenges and raise the level of education in the municipality”.

“Providing education opportunities to voters is my top priority, and I will do my utmost to lobby for the logistics and support of the education directorate for its continued good functioning,” he added.

The municipal education director, Ms. Grace Ofosu Boateng, congratulated the MP for letting them know his intentions. “We are very happy to have you in our office today. On behalf of myself and all management, we would like to assure you that we will play our role as an institution to make your vision and intentions a success, ”said Ms. Grace Ofosu Boateng.

Dr Kingsley Nyarko took the opportunity to visit Ohwimase M / A School and St. Francis Anglican School, all located in the municipality.

He had a friendly interaction with teachers and students in their various classrooms to inspire their confidence. He educated them on the need to wear their nasal masks and observe the necessary safety protocols to avoid contracting COVID-19. He further urged them to take their studies seriously as they are the representatives of Ghana’s future.

On the same day, the Municipal Assembly of Kwadaso organized a durbar staff to orient and sensitize the staff of the various services of the Assembly. Hon. Dr Kingsley Nyarko has requested to meet with them to formally introduce themselves and interact with them. He congratulated the Assembly for the excellent work it is doing for the municipality and further called for its unwavering support. The City Manager, the Hon. Richmond Agyenim Boateng said the municipal assembly will rally behind the MP and President of the Republic with all available resources to move Kwadaso forward in a positive direction.

He eventually went to the municipal health directorate to discuss health issues. The Municipal Director of Health, Ms. Grace Billi, briefed the MP on current health issues within the municipality. “We are progressing gradually to address the challenges facing the health leadership and hope that they will be fully resolved,” Ms. Grace Billi said.

She added that Kwadaso does not have a municipal health directorate, but there is an intention to have one. She urged the MP to use his influence and lobbying skills to get one for the municipality.

Dr Kingsley Nyarko, in response, asserted that health is paramount and as an MP it is my responsibility to work with your office to provide quality health care to the right people in Kwadaso. “The status of Kwadaso deserves a municipal health leadership and we need to make sure that happens,” he said.

Kwadaso Municipality has fourteen health facilities that provide health care to the people of Kwadaso. Of these, three are public, eight are private, two are CHAG and a mental health rehabilitation center.
