Silambarasan star Eeswaran has finally made its way into theaters. Besides Simbu, director Suseenthiran stars Bharathiraja, Nidhhi Agerwal and Nandita Swetha in important roles. It is funded by Balaji Kapa, KV Durai and MD Sharafudeen.
Eeswaran presents Simbu as the ultimate savior of his family and village. From the trailer and teasers, the film feels like an old school rural drama.
Before the release, Eeswaran had sparked multiple controversies. The alleged harassment of actor Nidhhi by director Suseenthiran, which allegedly forced her to say she loves Simbu, was the one that drew the most attention. The incident took place during the film’s audio launch, a post that criticized the director for his apparent inappropriate behavior. Later, Suseenthiran said there was a communication problem.
