A wise businessman, Mr. Effah Nyarko has attracted the attention of a higher education institution, the State Pedagogical University of Vinnytsia, Ukraine, for to have progressed in his field of activity (hotel and business sector).
As a result, the Ukraine-based university conferred on Nyarko, general manager of the Nyarkoa Ba Nyarko Royal Hotel in Obo Kwahu, an honorary doctorate at an unveiling ceremony on Monday in Accra.
In the coming weeks (May-June), officials of the State Pedagogical University of Vinnytsia, in collaboration with the Institute of Governance Assessment (COGAI), should award him the honorary doctorate from the University of Ghana, Legon.
A quote confirming the honor stated: "It is in recognition of your tremendous dedication and determination to become a business mogul and your efforts to ensure the socio-economic well-being of the people in your country and the Africa in general.
Your commitment and dedication to your business has earned you an unparalleled honor among giants.
Your efforts have led to the development of various companies, contributing to society and to Ghana as a whole.
The quote adds: "After evaluating your contribution to Ghana and beyond, the Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University has seen fit to award you a doctorate in philosophy under the name of COGAI.
The University congratulates you for this noble achievement. You are a valid role model for young people and a glimmer of hope for businessmen and entrepreneurship in Africa and Ghana. Congratulations."
And in response to the recognition, Mr. Effah said, "I am truly honored for this recognition from a well-known institution like Vinnytsia State University, which shows that people and institutions are watching my work and what we do as a company, me and my hard workers to make an extra effort in what we do.I thank the University and all those who contributed in one way or one other to this recognition. "
The entrepreneur was accompanied by some queen mothers: Nana Ama Amenuah, Kwahu Adonteng Hemaa, Nana Boatemah, Nkawkaw Adoagyiri Hemaa, Nana Adwoa Adofowaa, Mr. George Yaw Nkansah, General Manager Geoyan Enterprise, and close relatives.
In a post-event interview, Isaac Rockson, COGAI's communications strategist, said, "The main idea of this program is to celebrate Ghanaian companies and people who excel in their respective fields of activity."
