Ghanaian actress and social media influencer, Efia Odo
• Efia Odo issued a stern warning to some people who allegedly defamed
• She revealed her intention to take these people to court for treatment.
• The actress called all the accusations against her false.
Popular social media influence, Efia Odo has threatened to drag regional president Bono of the New Patriotic Party, Abronye DC, and others to court for peddling lies about him.
According to Efia, Abronye in particular has repeatedly spoken lies about him publicly and it is time to put him in check.
It may be recalled that Abronye DC, in an interview with Wontumi TV, among other things alleged that Efia Odo was defending the #FixTheCountry protest because she had been denied certain funds by the NPP government.
Abronye also claimed that Efia Odo sought attention because she had struggled to make ends meet since the opposition National Democratic Congress left office.
He also alleged that the actress was “in bed” with the NDC while they were in power, adding that she was given a house and remained on the party’s payroll.
But addressing these issues in a post on Twitter, Efia Odo on June 29, 2021, retweeted a post in which Abronye was caught making such allegations and wrote:
“It’s time to start suing people for character defamation.”
The popular actress has played a pivotal role in championing the #FixTheCountry campaign. His activism in favor of the protest resulted in his arrest along with 15 other people last Friday.
