Election: Nigeria Airways pensioners hold rally and prayer session for Buhari re-election

Nigeria Airways pensioners in Kano state on Tuesday staged a rally in support of President Muhammadu Buhari's bid for re-election for the second term.

Men report that the rally had taken place in the former office of Nigeria Airways, located along the road that leads to Bank.

Retirees also held a special prayer session for the president's victory at the polls.

Addressing reporters shortly after the rally, Alhaji Mohammed Adamu, chairman of the Nigeria Airways Pensioners' Section, said the rally thanked the president for paying their dues.

"We are here to thank the President for listening to the cries of retired and former employees of Nigeria Airways in liquidation.

"We are also here to thank him for saving our souls and those of our families. What others have refused to do, the PMB administration did for us, "he said.

Adamu badured Buhari of the pensioners' support in the upcoming presidential elections, saying 60,000 members of the chapter and their families would vote for him.

"Let President Muhammadu Buhari be badured that 60,000 of our members and their families will vote for him," he said.

Adamu said retirees would continue to support and pray for Buhari to make them smile and those of their families. (NOPE)
