Contacted, the acting public relations officer of the Delta State Police Department, the DSP Andrew Aniamaka, had a telephone conversation with DAILY POST and confirmed the report.

Aniamaka DSP said: "At about 7 am, a Friday in Emajeke from Highway No. 19 Jakpa was reported to the police station.

"Friday said around 1:30 pm he heard gunshots but he could not get out because of the situation in Effurun.

"Friday declared around 6 o'clock in the morning that he came out, he found his tenant, a dead Emmanuel.

"After his own report (Friday), the police went into action and, in Emmanuel's room, three corpses were found lying dead. Two men and a woman.

"Around the place, the police found the body of another person also lying dead."

Aniamaka added that "the police are investigating what has really happened."
