Former central regional minister Kwamena Duncan praised the Supreme Court (SC) justices who oversaw Mahama’s election petition.

It can be recalled that the SC by a unanimous decision of March 4, 2021, rejected the 2020 election petition for lack of merit.

Kwamena Duncan reacting to the ruling during a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ said former President John Mahama knew from the start that his “case was bad” but “just wanted to trouble” the peace of mind ”of Ghanaians.

“It was a wild goose hunt; one that was mischievous … they knew they had been defeated and they took us all; the whole country through a disturbance of our peace of mind,” he added.

Mahama has yet to congratulate Akufo-Addo

Kwamena Duncan also criticized the former president for failing to call on President Akufo-Addo to congratulate him after “his defeat”

Kwamena Duncan said: “The shameful aspect is that unlike Akufo-Addo who had a strong case as soon as he left the court, and congratulated the then president … as we speak. . then you see the difference? “

In the meantime, he “applauded the judges for their sense of expediency” and the fact that “they refused to be provoked because it came at a time when all this facade was only portraying judges that these are people who have prejudices against us. … they took it all in their stride. They refused to be provoked; unbelievable! So I warmly congratulate them. “
