Delali Kwasi Brempong, the NDC candidate, won 5,341 votes, or 30.52% of the vote.

The Electoral Commission said the by-elections were peaceful because the gunshots were not recorded in the commission's voting centers.
However, NDC Ayawaso West Wuogon has supported calls for a judicial commission of inquiry to investigate the shooting "to give hope and confidence to our democratic future."
