Elon Musk, CEO and technology millionaire of Tesla, is known for his recurring tweets on Twitter – but his latest scandal fuels cartoon fans on the platform.
On April 19, Musk changed his icon to display an image of Edward Elric, the protagonist of the animated series and popular manga "Fullmetal Alchemist," which prompted franchise fans to go ask if he was conducting an investigation on human transmutation.
"I do not know what prompted Elon Musk to switch to a profile picture Edward Elric, but I totally agree," wrote one user.
"Elon Musk, for God's sake, do not do human transmutation," jokingly warned another.
Even the popular anime broadcast service, Crunchyroll, told Musk that they "just wanted to talk" about his apparent love for the anime.
The favorite anime of Elon Musk
It would not be the first time that Musk would boast of his pbadion for Japanese animation by far; In fact, Musk had even tweeted to want to do a real mecha, as shown by popular anime such as Mobile Suit Gundam or the Macross series.
Musk also expressed his love for "Your Name" at the end of 2018, an animated film that describes a romantic love story between two teenagers who exchange bodies – sparking a lively discussion on his favorite films of the genre, including masterpieces such as Studio Ghibli's "Spirited Away" and "Princess Mononoke."
The new anime fan even went so far as to give himself a new nickname, jokingly asking fans to call him "Elon-Chan" in response to the craziness.
Elon Musk & Esports
Musk also entered the world of esport, after Fortnite pro FaZe Tfue apparently joking about the purchase of a Tesla after Musk responded to one of his Tweets.
Fortnite is by far the most fun game right now, but none of the Atari or Nintendo 64 clbadics would be amazing

Elon Musk claimed that his Twitter was "utter nonsense" before changing the icon, and he would not be wrong, but his hilarious antics on social networks offer a good laugh to users of the platform, meanwhile.
