BILLIONAIRE Elon Musk has released a weird rap song in memory of a dead gorilla in what we suspect to be an April prank joke.
The SpaceX boss tweeted a link to his title entitled "RIP Harambe" next to "album covers", featuring a picture of the primate and the name of his label, "Emo G Records".
Although it is not confirmed that the Musk Trail is an April Fool's joke, most listeners were skeptical as to its authenticity.
Harambe became a pop culture phenomenon when he was killed at the Cincinnati Zoo after a three year old boy entered his pen in 2016.
Fearing for the boy's life, a zoo employee shot the gorilla.
In Musk's "rap," a digitally-modified voice begins the piece by saying, "All gorillas, we love you."
He continues then: "RIP Harambe, Sitting a little Bombay, We are going to heaven, Amen, Amen.
"RIP Harambe, Smoking on a solid foundation, In the zoo of the gorillas, And we think of you."
"PRANK OF APRIL FOOL?
Although Musk's voice is not supposed to feature on the two-minute song, Twitter users have badumed that it could be heard on some of the ad-libs of the song.
The song was played half a million times during its first 48 hours after Musk, 47, shared it Saturday night.
But Twitter users quickly pointed out that the early days of Musk's rap came three years after Harambe's death – and barely two days before the April Fool's Day.
One tweet: "Elon Musk's publishing a song about Harambe a few days before the fools of April 2019 has an indescribably evil energy."
Another user posted: "Between this and the Musk Elon dropping a rap
Since it was downloaded, the song has been broadcast over 250,000 times.
Musk then tweeted: "I'm disappointed that my label has failed."

Tesla's CEO is known for his bizarre online presence, but has already been criticized for some of his antics.
In September 2018, he was seen smoking marijuana during a live online chat – a decision that prompted high-level employees of his companies to resign.
He was also criticized for tweeting allegations of child abuse against a British cave diver who was part of the rescue effort that saved a Thai football team and its coach
