He followed with "jk" but it was too late. Answers to the thread came in, ranging from cheers to reminders that he was on the short number of the SEC. These were some of the best.

However, the best answer is Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, who invited Musk to a conference, Devcon:
Stop giving free ETH! ??

Elon Sait Crypto
Elon Musk is more in tune with the nuances of the crypto than he could not let appear, as evidenced by his response to Buterin, who was to "stop giving free ETH". Buterin's Twitter account is "Vitalik, Non-Aether Donor" to prevent any imposter from attempting to contaminate his food.
In addition, Anthony Sbadano, developer EthHub, said that Ethereum had taken off from Google Trends shortly after Musk had tweeted Ethereum.

The second largest cryptocurrency was trading in the red today. But the ETH found itself in the green shortly after the mention of Musk's Ethereum. The price is most recently oscillating between fractional gains and losses.
This is not the first time Musk has caused a frenzy on Twitter crypto. He recently greeted Dogecoin. For a short while, he was even named the fake CEO of the decentralized project.
In the meantime, inspiring a reversal of Ethereum's price, if only for a time, Musk has proven both how much he is loved and how much he is influential with crypto enthusiasts. If he decided to launch a Tesla or SpaceX coin, the demand would no doubt be exacerbated. For someone who has been shunned by much of Wall Street, the warm welcome from crypto must be a welcome sight. Otherwise, the technology billionaire or he would not continue to push the community.
