Elon Musk vs. Jeff Bezos: How their space plans are different, similar

[ad_1]

Space is a huge place, rich in resources and adventure. So, if you are the imaginative kind, leaving the Earth offers almost limitless possibilities for the expansion of humanity.

Among all those who wonder how we are going to go into space, what we will do there and what is the timeline, the voice of two billionaires – Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos – sounds the loudest and most often.

Musk, the technology mogul behind Tesla and the founder of SpaceX (a $ 33 billion rocket company), wants to establish an autonomous and sustainable city on Mars.

Meanwhile, Bezos – the founder and CEO of Amazon – has his own space company, Blue Origin. His work has hitherto focused on building a "road to space" with new rockets that could eventually pave the way for floating colonies.

These two grandiose dreams are distinctly different and their owners sometimes care about the details. But it is not inconceivable that their two companies collaborate one day in space.

This is what Musk and Bezos said about their ambitious visions, and how they are different but surprisingly similar.
