The body found from the wreck of Emiliano Sala was recovered by a private ambulance.

The AAIB confirmed that a body had been found in an official statement, but the identity is not yet known.

Sala disappeared the Channel two weeks ago when the plane Piper Malibu who was carrying it and the pilot David Ibbotson disappeared from the radar.

The attacker had recently signed for Cardiff on a record 15 million pound contract.

He had returned to Nantes to bid farewell to his former teammates and his staff before flying to South Wales.

The body is raised in the ambulance

The plane disappeared over the English Channel and the Guernsey police canceled initial searches after four days.

Funds have been raised for private research led by famed wrecker David Mearns, who discovered the plane on the seabed of the English Channel Sunday morning.

A body was later found in the debris and was found by a private ambulance.

The ambulance picks up the body

The AAIB stated that the body had been found in the wreckage "in the most dignified manner possible."

A spokesman for the AAIB said: "Unfortunately, attempts to recover the wreckage of the aircraft have failed before bad weather conditions require us to return the ROV to the ship.

"As weather forecasts are poor in the near future, the difficult decision to end all operations has been taken.
