Sala's father makes an emotional call

The father of the tragic Argentine striker Emiliano Sala has asked the British authorities to resume his son's research.

Sala, 28, is presumed dead after the fighter plane flying from Nantes to Cardiff on Monday night after his £ 15 million transfer to the Welsh club disappeared from the Channel's radar screens.

Channel Islands Air Search has confirmed that it canceled its rescue operation after finding no trace of the aircraft.

Pilot Dave Ibbotson also fears he has died in tragedy.

But Horacio Sala, the player's heartbroken father, made a moving appeal to emergency services to continue searching during an interview on Argentine television.

Mr. Sala said, "Keep looking, please. We can not live like this.

"Do not stop looking. It can not be a plane disappears and there is no trace of anything. "

Sala, an attacker who moved to France when he signed for Bordeaux seven years ago, was back in South Wales after bidding farewell to his teammates in Nantes.
