Emre Can admitted to complaining to Jurgen Klopp that training in Liverpool was too difficult, but that he was working even harder at Juventus.
The German international joined the Turin giants on a free transfer this summer, ending Anfield's four-year stint.
He is about to win the Serie A title in his first season in Turin, while Juve is also in the quarterfinals of the Champions League where she will face Ajax on Wednesday.
"I have already complained to Jurgen Klopp of hard training in Liverpool! But the training here at Juventus is a little harder," Can said in an interview with DAZN and Goal.com.
"We have to run even harder, do more strength training. It was a big challenge for me at first. But now, my body is used to it. "
Can added that although Klopp is disappointed that his compatriot left the Reds this summer, he remains in contact with his former boss.
"He was disappointed [Klopp]. He wanted me to stay in Liverpool, but accepted my decision, "he said.
"He also knew that it was not a decision against him or against Liverpool, but a new challenge to Juventus.
"I had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in Liverpool and I will always be grateful to all the people who supported me. I am still in contact with Jurgen Klopp. "
