Throughout their blockbuster time at Marvel Studios, brothers Joe and Anthony Russo have made a point of paying tribute to cast members of some of their previous projects. Notably, the brothers slipped Tobias Funke into one of The Collector's pods (Benicio Del Toro) in Avengers: war in the infinite.
In a recent report, the brothers gave a Community alum a secret cameo role in april Avengers: End of the game. According to Revenge of the Fans, Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians) filmed a cameo for the next blockbuster.
If the report proved correct, Jeong would be the third actor of Community to appear in a direct film MCU of Russo Brothers. Jim Rash played a Mr. I.T. employee in Captain America: Civil War while Danny Pudi was a SHIELD Communications Technician Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Although it's not a movie directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Donald Glover – another Community alum – had a long cameo Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Of The Winter Soldier at Civil war and War of Infinity, the Russo brothers' MCU films have always worn more serious tones. This does not prevent filmmakers from taking inspiration from their past comic projects as Community and Arrested development.
