SAN FRANCISCO, MobileFocus, CTIA – Recognized for its tireless rabbit, Energizer has launched two iPhone charging products at the CTIA mobile phone show.
Energizer PowerSkin is a silicone case with a built-in battery. Well, there are plenty of battery cases, but the PowerSkin promises an ultra fast charging of the notoriously slow battery to charge the iPhone 4 – just 30 minutes for a full charge, says Energizer. It is certainly fast. He rejuvenated my iPhone from 4 to 20% charge in about 5 minutes.
Energizer has also launched a charger based on a new standard induction charging that could become the common place for wireless charging a multitude of gadgets. The Energizer inductive charger is based on Qi, a new standard for inductive charging. It contains gadgets placed on top of the carpet, which is much more convenient than plugging them.
The Qi standard brings together several hundred member companies, including Duracell, LG, Panasaonic and the HTC phone giant, but not Apple of course. For products such as iPhone and iPods, Energizer provides plug-in covers with the appropriate inductive circuit.
