Eni and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) have signed a joint declaration establishing a new innovative model of public-private cooperation aimed at contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

In a statement issued by UNIDO and made available to the GNA on Wednesday, the Declaration set out a new model of innovative cooperation between the private sector and an international organization through which partners work together and leverage each to enhance the effectiveness of the project.

The Declaration was signed by Eni's Director-General Claudio Descalzi and UNIDO Director-General LI Yong in the presence of Giorgio Marrapodi, Director-General for Development Cooperation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development. Development cooperation.

Eni-UNIDO cooperation aims to contribute to the achievement of SDG objectives through strategic cooperation in areas of common interest such as youth employment, agricultural value chains, energy renewable energy and energy efficiency, particularly in Africa.
