FIFA has banned Chelsea, the English Premier League club, from recruiting players until the 2020 offseason transfer window for violating the youth rules.

There is an exception for clubs in the European Union and the European Economic Community which allows the transfer of players between the ages of 16 and 18 provided that the conditions relating to education and living conditions are met. met.

FIFA did not detail the details of the case against Chelsea, but added that the club had also entered into agreements that "allowed it to influence other clubs on transfer-related issues" .
The English Football Federation has also been fined 510,000 Swiss francs and "six months to solve the problem of international transfers and the first registration of minors in football," said FIFA.
The Russian Federation stated that it had "expressed its concerns to FIFA regarding its disciplinary procedures" and intended to appeal against this decision.
