Decide which blockchain is best for a Dapp
is the most critical choice of any developer; However, the Loom network team
seems to have realized the dream of interoperability that has kept many developers
and the pbadionate fantasizing about social networks (and working hard to make it
happen).
In an announcement posted on its official blog, the Loom Network team explains that, thanks to the development of PlasmaChain, the dAPPS running on Tron and EOS will be able to communicate smoothly and interact with Ethereum (the blockchain on which PlasmaChain works).
In the coming weeks, Loom Network will release integrations for Tron and EOS into PlasmaChain, which will allow DApp developers to offer their DApps to users simultaneously on all three channels.
The Loom team said it has adopted an agnostic approach to the blockchain to develop a useful product for as many users as possible, but it is aware that such a decision "will inevitably ruffle some feathers ".
Ethereum is the second largest block chain in the ecosystem, but the growth of other DApp oriented block chains is undeniable. Offering a solution that allows developers to expose their product to users of "rival" block chains without having to reprogram is a wise decision, both economically and technologically.
In summary, DApp developers want their DApps to be used by as many users as possible and spend money on their services. They will therefore turn to the platform that offers it.
The Loom network team explains that PlasmaChain
generates a kind of common ground in which, from the point of view of the user, it is
no need to decide which blockchain to use, because everyone can access the DApp
and pay with any token (ETH, EOS, TRX or any ERC20 token). According to
developers, PlasmaChain is a kind of "universal layer 2".
In other words, users of Ethereum, EOS and Tron will be able to
to seamlessly interact with PlasmaChain DApps as if they were native
DApps on each of these platforms.
The loom network allows users to "make a purchase transaction on Layer 1 Ethereum and receive the purchased game (or other digital badet) on Layer 2. This operation takes less than 3 seconds and does not require entails no additional cost.
The Loom team has not announced any official release date,
however, according to their statements, PlasmaChain should already be in a phase
final development.
