EUR / USD down as ECB pushes forward interest rate forecast in first half

The ECB left its rates unchanged and pledged to keep rates low throughout the first half of 2020. The EUR / USD first dipped and then recovered, the bank financing system (TLTRO) with a positive interest rate of 10 basis points. The jerky movements continue.

The European Central Bank was to announce a new financing mechanism with generous conditions for banks (TLTRO). The ECB had already committed to keeping rates low until the end of the year at least. The EUR / USD was trading below 1.1250 before the very important decision.
