Italian midfielder Marco Verratti loves playing England in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday, saying it will be an “epic” game.

The Paris St-Germain player praised a “very solid” England after beating Denmark 2-1 on Wednesday night.

Verratti, 28, said the Three Lions “deserve to go to the final”.

But he suggested Harry Kane’s penalty, imposed by Raheem Sterling, was “generous”.

Verratti, who has made two assists in the Euros so far, said he was “glad we are playing them in a big stadium”.

“This is the dream you have as a child, as a footballer,” he told reporters on Thursday.

Roberto Mancini’s side reached the country’s third European Championship final after beating Spain on penalties on Tuesday.

They will face the shaped team of Gareth Southgate in Sunday’s Wembley final.

Harry Kane picked up the win for England in overtime by posting the rebound after his penalty was saved.
