Eurostar anticipates "significant delays" due to intruder near St Pancras

All Eurostar trains to and from St Pancras International were suspended due to an intruder on the nearby runways.

British transport police said that a man was "in a precarious position" near the station since 19:00 GMT Friday.

As a result, airlines have been cut off and trains can not enter or leave the station.

Southeast services heading to St Pancras from Faversham and Margate were also affected.

Eurostar said it was anticipating "many cancellations and significant delays" and that all services had been suspended until 09:45.

UPDATE SERVICE: High-speed trains will not run between #StPancras due to the ongoing intrusion incident just outside the station. The person is above the high-speed lines and, therefore, overhead cables can not be recharged. Please use the main trains to Victoria or Charing X
