Everton confirmed that he had not made a second offer for Wilfried Zaha and had ended his interest in the Crystal Palace winger.
Everton made a £ 52 million offer on Zaha, Arsenal's target this weekend. Crystal Palace rejected this offer.
Reports revealed Monday that a second offer of 55 million pounds had been made with Everton, including Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy.
But the Toffees issued a statement on the proposed transfer.
"The Everton football club categorically denies that an offer was submitted to Crystal Palace for Wilfried Zaha, which included an extra upfront fee as well as Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy," reads.
"Everton and Crystal Palace have very good relationships. An offer was made during the weekend and was refused. Both clubs agreed that it was the end of the problem. "
Zaha is now facing the prospect of staying at Crystal Palace after confessing her desire to leave earlier this summer.
His heart was to move to the Arsenal Children's Club, but the imminent signing of Nicolas Pepe is likely to put an end to their interests.
Chelsea is also enthusiastic but could not register Zaha before next summer due to the ban on transfer.
Everton remains interested in the young Juventus player, Moise Kean, for £ 35 million, although the Serie A team insists that a buyback clause be retained.
Marco Silva is also expected to step up his efforts to replace Idrissa Gueye, whose transfer of 30 million pounds to PSG will be finalized this week.
Silva wants to bring in a central defender and an attacker with five additional additions possible before closing the transfer window.
