Everything is ready for the 5th edition of the Women in PR Ghana Summit scheduled for July 9 and 10

Women in PR Ghana Summit is back for its 5e edition (hybrid edition) on the theme “Five Years of Narrative Change for Women Communication Practitioners” and is scheduled to take place July 9-10.

The two-day event will be hosted both virtually and in person.

The virtual session (on Zoom and Facebook) will be held on day 1, Friday 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The in-person session will take place on Saturday July 10 at the Fitzgerald, Cantonments-Accra from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with no more than 100 guests expected (mostly women) in the PR and communications sectors, due to Covid . -19 protocols.

This year’s summit aims to highlight the contributions of women in the PR industry and inspire them to want to change the discourse on the role of PR for brands.

Speaking at the summit, Founder Faith Senam Ocloo said, “Our annual summit is dedicated to inspiring women in communications and public relations to find an authentic voice, network and advance their personal and professional growth. “

Speakers for this year’s summit include Adisa Amanor-Wilks; Director, Abjel Communications, UK; Nana Essilfuah Tamakloe, Marketing and Corporate Relations at Absa Bank Ghana; Dr Linda Deigh, Academic Director at Webster University, Ghana Campus; Beatrice Opoku-Asare, Global Director, Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity at Newmont Mining Corporation; Vickie Remoe, Marketing and Communication Expert at VR&C, Ghana and Sierra Leone; Deborah Kwablah, Corporate Communications Manager, Nestlé Ghana and among others.

There will also be a panel discussion on “The Power Struggle Between Journalists and Public Relations Professionals” with four seasoned communications experts, including Rosemond Aryeetey, Head of Corporate Affairs at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center. ; Kwame Gyan, Deputy Director – Consumer and Corporate Affairs at the National Communications Authority; Dzifa Bampoh, Communications and Media Specialist at Media General; and Henry Nii Dottey, APR, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at UBA Ghana.

TV3 presenter Etornam Sey, will host this year’s event. The 2021 Women in PR Ghana Summit is supported by MTN Ghana, Webster University Ghana, Excelsis and Presentation Plus.

The Women in PR Ghana summit, organized for the first time in May 2017, has been taking place for four (4) consecutive years. It has carved out a place for itself as a leading professional networking event and has also created a community for women in the public relations and communications sector in Ghana.
