– Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has asked the NDC to "put an end to hypocrisy", in reference to the main opposition's claims about the difficulties in the country.

– The Veep has compiled a list of promises held by the NPP government regarding what the Mahama government's failures have done

– But the badessment and verification of the facts of YEN.com.gh show that some of the Vice President's badertions are false

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia opened the discussion to Ghanaians after comparing the achievements of his government to those of the former National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In creating his own hashtag, he launched #DroptheHypocrisy, listing the many achievements of the Akufo-Addo government on his Facebook page.

This letter, he said, was intended to expose members of the NDC who had taken to the streets to engage in a demonstration dubbed "Kum Yen Preko".

Mr. Bawumia has published a compilation of some promises kept by the new Patriotic Party (NPP) in power, while also highlighting what he described as the failures of the previous NDC administration. .

However, checking Veep's statements makes the list very doubtful.

He talked about the introduction of Free SHS policy and fertilizer subsidy for Ghanaian farmers by the nuclear power plant and said that all these elements were not present during John Mahama's tenure.

Our verdict and our verifications indicate that Free SHS was available in some parts of the country, particularly in the north, and that SHS day students did not pay tuition fees. The NDC government has also provided farmers with free fertilizer.

He also mentioned the creation of the Nations Builders Corps (NABCO) to reduce graduate unemployment, but Mr. Bawumia's badertion that the NDC has not created any program or pathway for it. Graduate employment is false. The Mahama administration had GYEEDA and YEA, a government program that also provided jobs to graduates.

YEN challenges another claim on the vice president's list, namely "the complete eradication of" dumsor "as a success of the NPP". The current government can not claim to have eliminated Mr. Dumsor because Ghanaians are still experiencing irregular power cuts.
