Farmer killed by a spiritualist in Assin-Breku

Assin-Fosu (C / R),
March 26, GNA – A 30-year-old spiritualist, Mawuli Ayitey, was remanded in custody.
in prison by the Assin Fosu District Court for allegedly attracting his
friend, Kwasi Bukari in the bush for the murder.

The spiritualist whose
the appeal was not retained will reappear before the Court presided over by Mr. Djanie
Quartey on Thursday, March 28th.

Prosecutor
Gilbert Anyongo said that the accused had lured the deceased into a nearby bush
Assin Bereku, in the North Assin District of Central Region on Sunday,
March 17 and shot him without any provocation.

But while he was in
burying the body in a hurry, he was seen by a complainant (name
detained) who reported the case to the police who led to his arrest.

In one
development, a 19-year-old business student from the last year of Assin Manso Senior
Ebenezer Owusu Ansah High School on Saturday, March 23rd, drowned
the Okye River near the community to try to swim.

The student who greets
from Kasoa, would have gone out with his friends to the side of the river where
the sad incident happened.

Mr Derick Owusu
Ambrose, District Director Assin South (DCE), confirmed the tragedy at
GNA.

His body has since been
deposited at the morgue of the government hospital Abura Dunkwa in order to allow
investigation by the police.

The police refused to
talk to the media on the subject with the explanation that, the investigations are
In progress.
