Kofi Nyame, a 35-year-old farmer, murdered his 32-year-old wife, Linda Kissiwaa, last Monday and then committed suicide by hanging in Akrosu, near Asikasu No 1, near Dormaa-Ahenkro, in the Bono area.

According to the police, Nyame committed suicide after successfully killing Kissiwaa on his farm.

The body of the woman was found lying on her belly in a pool of blood, wearing a long, pale green robe soaked in blood.

Chief Inspector Augustine Kinsley Oppong, Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional Police, also responsible for the Bono East and Ahafo areas, told The Mirror that bloodstains had been discovered in approximately 13 meters from the body.

According to him, when the police examined the deceased, it was discovered that Nyame had used a sharp object to kill her while her throat was open.

Chief Inspector Oppong told police on Monday that the police had learned that Nyame had killed his wife on the farm and went to the crime scene to find an adult woman lying on her stomach. in a pool of blood.

Chief Inspector Oppong said that the body was sent to the morgue of Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital for preservation and autopsy.

He added that during a search for Nyame's arrest, the police learned that he had committed suicide by hanging himself in the bush.

Chief Inspector Oppong said the police went to the scene to find Nyame's lifeless body hanging from a tree in the bush.

He added that the police had opened an investigation into the alleged murder of Kissiwa and the hanging of Nyame to determine the cause of their deaths.

Chief Inspector Oppong asked the public to help the police by providing information to help him discover the reasons for the couple's death.
