Fans who want a battle between Fat Joe and 50 Cent Verzuz really shouldn’t hope.
On Friday (September 3), Joey Crack took to Instagram to rule out any possibility of making a Verzuz match with his former rival. The reason? Put simply, Fif doesn’t want to.
“Why do you keep asking me about 50 cents?” We gave him the option, ”Joe said in the Instagram Live clip. “He didn’t want to go against me… He wasn’t doing the Verzuz.”
Now, publicly, there has never been any mention of a Joey Crack and 50 Cent Verzuz, so this seems to be one of those things that happened behind the scenes.
Joe goes on to explain that 50 doesn’t avoid any Verzuz battle because he’s scared or something; he is more interested in the world of television.
“You keep asking me for things that I can’t help you with,” Joe continues. “And so, he doesn’t want to do it. Just because he’s scared, or because he’s not one of the greatest who ever lived, doesn’t mean he doesn’t fuck with it. I’m telling you what 50 Cent is going to be a billionaire, a true billionaire. You have to understand, 50 Cent has had a bunch of TV shows. TV. It’s not rap music. It’s a different kind of money.
For his part, 50 himself has repeatedly rejected the idea of participating in a fight of Verzuz. Luckily for fans of 2000s New York hip-hop, Joey Crack is about to take on another New York mainstay.
