LAHORE: Fawad Khan's press team rejected reports that it would have refused to allow an anti-polio team to administer drops to his daughter.
Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Task Force on Polio, Babar Bin Ata, said Wednesday that a complaint had been filed against Fawad at the Faisal City Police Station for not allowing his daughter to be administered.
"Ms. Fawad thinks that her UK daughter's immunization will provide protection for the child against the HPV virus 1. Protection against wild poliovirus can only be guaranteed with the oral vaccine against polio, "said Ata.
The government representative said that the deputy commissioner of Lahore told him that Fawad's driver and his family misbehaved with the anti-polio team yesterday. "Fawad is our pride, I beg him to allow the teams to vaccinate the child.Lahore had a polio case last week, we must protect the child," Ata continued on Twitter.
