Ajax ended 1060 days of waiting to return to the top of the Eredivisie table with a landslide victory over FC Emmen.

The 33 winners opened the net 5-0 in the space of one hour with the goals of Donny van Beek, Daley Blind, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and two of David Neres.

Emmen scored two goals back by Nicolas Tagliafico and a late strike from Jafar Arias.
