The families of the three kidnapped Takoradi girls have accused the government of failing to commit to saving the missing girls.
They are worried about why, for more than a year and a half, security agencies are still unable to reveal the location and location of the missing girls.
Families say they are fed up with the apparent badurances and lack of coordination of information provided to families on the progress of the surveys.
At a joint press conference in Accra on July 15, 2019, a brother of one of the girls asks President Akufo-Addo to set up a committee to investigate the matter.
"We are asking President Akufo-Addo, Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, to set up a committee to investigate the matter urgently," he said.
One of the victims, Ruthlove Quayson's sister, said she has not been informed of the progress of the investigation in recent months.
"The police keep us in the dark, we have no news from them and we went to the Takoradi central police station to check the progress of the investigations, but they told us that They had no updates, otherwise for the media we would not have even learned that a second suspect had been arrested, "she added.
The family also threatened to protest on August 10, 2019, if she heard nothing from the government.
The three victims are Ruth Love Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Priscilla Koranchie.
Priscilla Blessing Bentum was first abducted on August 17, 2018, while Ruth love Quayeson was kidnapped on December 4, 2018.
Priscilla Mantebeah Koranchie was also kidnapped on December 21, 2018.
