Fenerbahce have avoided a ban on participating in UEFA competitions despite the violation of their rights. Financial Fair Play (FFP) agreement in 2018-19.
The UEFA club financial control body (CFCB) announced in May that Fenerbahce was punishable for failing to achieve its profitability target.
However, with these sanctions confirmed on Friday, the Turkish club will not be suspended from European action.
Instead, their revenues from UEFA competitions will be withheld up to the amount of 2 million euros. The club will also have a restriction on register new players in the absence of a positive transfer balance, and more than 23 players for such tournaments in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
Withholding of income will be limited to €1m if Fenerbahce proves that he has restructured his debt and set up a new system of national financial monitoring before October 15.
Fenerbahce failed to qualify for Europe for the upcoming campaign, finishing sixth in the Turkish Super Lig in 2018-19 despite a good finish at the season.
The Super Lig giants have signed with Max Kruse since the end of last season, but have insisted that an agreement be reached. Mesut Ozil would be too expensive.
