FIFA is expected to reconstitute the Ghana Federation's standardization committee after an extension of its term, FootballMadeInGhana.com said.

A FIFA working group is scheduled in Ghana by the end of the week to begin the process of reconstituting the new committee.

According to sources close to FIFA, the president of the commission, Dr. Kofi Amoah, will probably remain at the head of the new body, but the remaining three members of the commission will probably be replaced.

This means that Ms. Lucy Quist, Naa Odofoley Nortey and Sammy Kuffour (who replaced Duah Adonteng) are about to say goodbye to the committee in order to make room for new members.

The source further revealed that the new composition of the commission would likely have a representative of CAF and FIFA with a renewed mandate to run Ghanaian football.

The FIFA working group, expected to arrive in the country by Friday, will define an appropriate mandate for the commission, which will have a more specific role to play than the existing one.

FootballMadeInGhana.com understands that FIFA is not satisfied with the progress of the work of the committee led by Dr. Amoah and will make known its position on this subject before even naming the new members.

The current committee appointed on September 13, 2018 has not been able to exhaust its mandate. The revision of the statutes of the FA of Ghana and the organization of the election of the new executive committee of the latter are at the heart of the list.

Now that FIFA is taking over, Ghanaians can rest badured that by September 30, 2019, Ghanaian football will have a new direction.
