Final Cut Pro X could finally be available for purchase on the Mac App Store at a lower price than ever before, but for some video professionals, it was not worth the wait: a nice bet to date which unfortunately throws a lot of features they depend on. There may be hope on the horizon, though: Apple would have said Final Cut Pro X would get some of these features missing in future updates.
According to a video production blogger who spoke to Apple, a future update of Final Cut Pro X will allow to import Final Cut Pro 6 and 7 projects, as well as replace the current support of the XML workflow and multicam edition.
Apparently, it is planned to update Final Cut Pro X substantially twice a year through the Mac App Store. However, there are still many features to solve and video professionals seem to be revolted. Can Apple upgrade Final Cut Pro X in time to appease them, and if so, why did not it start publishing?
