A one-story building in Adabraka in Accra was razed to the ground by fire.
An eyewitness told Citi News that no injuries or deaths were recorded during the incident.
He was quick to add, however, that there had been an explosion extinguishing the fire.
“I went home to charge my prepaid and saw smoke in one of the windows. We broke the door and saw the room was full of smoke. No one was in the room, ”the eyewitness told Citi News.
Firefighters were working to put out the blaze when Citi News arrived at the scene.
There have been a number of fires in recent times.
The Ghana National Fire Service recently said that a total of 5,966 fires were recorded in Ghana between January 1 and December 21, 2020.
