More than a decade since the last time Deadwood broadcast on television, the series finally returns – and it will return very soon on the screens.
HBO left the first trailer for the upcoming revival movie today (March 21) and confirmed that Deadwood: the movie will be the first on Friday, May 31.
And, since he officially stays only two months (about a week) before Deadwood returns, the teaser too gave the public a first look at the return of the original cast, while Al Swearengen (Ian McShane) faced sheriff Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) and supplied the old rivalries.

Deadwood: the movie brings together the characters from the series while they celebrate the status of South Dakota State in 1889, and the rivalries are quick to revive, the alliances are put to the test and the old ones injuries reopened as each navigates the inevitable changes that time has caused.
The production of the revival began last November, when it was confirmed that most of the actors in the series were back for the film.
Along with McShane and Olyphant, the cast includes Molly Parker, Paula Malcomson, John Hawkes, Anna Gunn, Earl Brown, Dayton Callie, Brad Dourif, Robin Weigert, William Sanderson, Kim Dickens and Gerald McRaney.

Deadwood Originally airing on HBO from 2004 to 2006, the creator of the series, David Milch, came back to write the screenplay while Daniel Minahan will direct the film.
Speaking of the 2017 screenplay, W Earl Brown, Dan Dority's actor, said that it was "thrilling and heartbreaking f ** king".
