"Andreas will be better to have this experience, so no problem," said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, continuing his commendable mission to be the antithesis of Jose Mourinho by a) being incredibly positive about everything and b ) never players under a bus.

We think Pereira will not be "better off" after 63 minutes of play for his first start, but Solskjaer may well do it. Perhaps the Norwegian needed to remember that everything he touched did not turn into gold; it is not infallible. It was not as easy as he had made it appear.

It was a starting formation that would have earned Mourinho the deserved stigma – the incendiary Marcus Rashford pushed to the left, the Perpetual movement of Ander Herrera Pereira, the defense movement of Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez, exhausted by the defense, was inadequately replaced by the predictability of Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku. Solskjaer did not have the chance to lose Anthony Martial from his favorite starting team, but the rest was self-imposed.

It was as if the last six weeks had not arrived while United was again slow, heavy and devoid of any verve. It's a marvel. Solskjaer decided to simultaneously delete three of the first five that had Arsenal tormented Friday night. It was too much when we saw the team sheet and it was too much when we saw it on the field.

"The tempo of the ball was not good enough," said Solskjaer to the sound of a million football fans: "what were you waiting for?". The way to come back from United is what many will remember on Tuesday night – Solskjaer correcting his own mistakes to bring Sanchez and Lingard – and this will certainly add to the Norwegian cult, which spoke of "the DNA" of the defeat badault of Manchester United. but it's just smoke and mirrors if he does not learn from this mistake. He should feel a little humiliated, a little silly, a little more rooted.

You can not blame Solskjaer for feeling foolproof; For six weeks, he was hailed as a smiling savior, both by the media and by the fans who pushed him forward in front of all the other candidates for the permanent position. It turns out that following Mourinho was really a precious free shot – "like following the worst of the ex or the least singers of karaoke". He chose the fans' favorites, marginalized the villains from the pantomime, talked constantly about his story and that of the club, checked the name of Sir Alex and spoke eloquently, positively and ambitiously. That he was then plunged in front of a open goal released by Mauricio Pochettino was a lovely bonus.

It is therefore not surprising that he has approached a home game with Burnley with the arrogance to make deep changes. If United won – and they would surely – he would be considered a genius again, able to get a melody of players that many fans would happily abandon. A draw and a late return later, we hope that Solskjaer will be better to live this experience and will remember the mistakes as well as the redemption.
