Fisher-Price Sleepers Warning After 10 Baby Deaths in the United States

A US federal consumer agency has issued a warning regarding the Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play sleeper, following reports that 10 babies would have died after returning to the seat .

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says babies over the age of 3 months or those who can turn over should not use the product.

The CPSC and Fisher-Price's parent, Mattel, said Friday (Saturday, local time) that they knew at least 10 newborn deaths in the Rock & Plays since 2015 after babies rolled their back against the stomach or side while they were not tied up. All 10 were infants aged 3 months or older.

Fisher-Price claims that its bed complies with all safety standards and reminds parents to use restraints, to put babies on their backs to sleep and to make sure that no blankets or pillow is placed in the bed.
